Your health care provider will allow you to put together some food guidelines so that you can also work to get your diet under control.
Begin your efforts bit by bit. Do not try to run too far too rapidly too soon. A good course for starting to get into shape is the Couch to 5K system. This is a program that gradually steps up your running routine until you are ready to take on a 5K marathon. Obviously, however, you need to do a lot more than merely jogging to get in shape. Weight training and cardiovascular training are very important too. If you do not have time for that many exercise sessions, find a way to implement the Couch to 5K program to a swimming program so that you can work all of your body systems slowly but surely.
Put together a support team. If you can find folks to try and do the work with you you will have a significantly greater chance of losing weight and getting in shape when you have a support group even if you find your weight gain embarrassing. You can work with the other person to take in good food and get regular exercise–these are the people who can visit weight loss gatherings with you, exercise with you and more. If you don’t want to do this with people in “real” life, you could find this type of support online. There are lots of online organizations for people who are trying to lose weight that you can join.
The simple fact, simply put, is that it takes time to lose weight and much more time to get in shape. The sooner you start to adjust your diet plan and exercise habits the better off you will be. The quicker you start to make your changes, the easier it is gonna be to slowly and steadily get into shape. Remember, in cases like this, slow and steady is really the way to go: your body and health will thank you for it come summer time.
